On several occasions we have had the pleasure of hearing motivational speakers come to Bay Shore Middle School, but never have we had an experience like that provided by Mr. Carmine Azzato. From the moment he began sharing his story, the children did not utter a word. There is no doubt in my mind that the students would not be able to translate Carmine’s message of persistence and positive self—image into their own lives.

When Carmine stood in front of the children, he immediately commanded their attention. Our sixth, seventh and eighth graders were in sheer awe of his words. Carmine has a keen ability to connect to his audience and deliver a powerful message that inspires. With an audience of over 400 students, this is not an easy task to accomplish, but Carmine makes it appear effortless. The students heard Carmine’s first-hand tales of how to make the best of their goals, which gives them a model to mirror. I would not hesitate having Carmine present to our students again and again.

Words fall short of being able to express my gratitude for what Carmine provided to our children and I’m sure you will find the same.
